Many years ago a wise person said "Where there is no vision the people perish", (Proverbs 29:18). Helen Keller when asked on one occasion what was worse than physical blindness replied, "To have sight but no vision".
As we look on Irish Society in the early stages of the 21st century we believe we need more than ever to be people who have a vision from God and a vision for God. As leaders within the Fellowship of Elim Ministries we believe that God has given us a definite vision and a burden for our nation at this time.
We are so thankful to the Lord for what has been happening amongst us, especially in recent times. We are experiencing numerical growth, an expanding sphere of ministry and opportunity across the country and also a deepening level of fellowship and relationship as co-workers in God's field and vineyard.
This website is an attempt on our part to communicate who we are, what we are seeking to do, and also why we are doing what we do. As you browse the site you will see the current news, learn about our churches and charity shops and read about our plans for the future. As we are part of a global family there are also links to other sites around the world.

Our Vision
The Whole Gospel for the Whole Person for the Whole of Ireland.
The Whole Gospel
By “The Whole Gospel” we understand that the full message of Jesus Christ needs to be communicated clearly through our words and deeds. The Bible in describing the message of Jesus Christ presents Him in several ways. First, as our Saviour because He saves us from our sins. He is also presented as our healer because He can deliver us from all disease and sickness.
Another key part of the message of Jesus is that He gives us the Holy Spirit and baptises us in the Spirit of God in order to empower us to do his work. We are also told that Christ is coming back to this Earth a second time, not as a baby but as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Whole Person
By “The Whole Person” we understand that God has made us body, soul and spirit, so if we are to reflect God’s love to the people of Ireland we need to care about their physical and social circumstances, their psychological health as well as their spiritual condition. All of our churches want to be a blessing in their communities by offering help to people at every level of life.
The Whole of Ireland
"The Whole of Ireland" means we want to see a day in Ireland where no matter where a person lives on the Island they will hear about Jesus Christ and see loving deeds being done in His name.
The Bible
We believe the Bible, as originally given, to be without error, the fully inspired and infallible Word of God and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The Trinity
We believe that the Godhead exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God, sovereign in creation, providence and redemption.
The Saviour
We believe in the true and proper deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His real and complete humanity, in His sinless life, in His authoritative teaching, in His substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through His blood shed, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His heavenly intercession and His second advent to receive His Church.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son and the necessity of His work in conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration and sanctification, and that the believer is also promised an enduement of power as the gift of Christ through the baptism in the Holy Spirit with signs following. Through this enduement the believer is empowered for fuller participation in the ministry of the Church, its worship, evangelism and service.
Mankind
We believe in the universal sinfulness of all men since the Fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
Salvation
We believe in the necessity for salvation of repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by which the sinner is pardoned and accepted as righteous in God’s sight. This justification is imputed by the grace of God because of the atoning work of Christ, is received by faith alone and is evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit and a holy life.
Evangelism and Church Planting
It is our desire to reach out, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, in evangelism and Church planting so that our nation might be influenced, impacted and transformed by the message of the Gospel.
Spiritual Preparation
Our desire is to lay a foundation of fervent prayer and regular fasting particularly amongst our leaders - for a move of God's Spirit upon our nation.
Ministry Training
We want to make a programme of Ministry Training available to the people within our Churches with the aim of drawing out and developing anointed leadership and gifted ministry.
Structural Streamlining
We are committed to tuning and developing and when necessary changing our structures in such a way that they will continue to effectively serve the purposes of God.
Kingdom Co-operation
According to the standard and principles of the Word of God we are committed to a positive attitude of fellowship, support, encouragement and co-operation with other Churches, Groups and Organizations within the Body of Christ on this island.
The Jeffreys brothers, Stephen, William and George, were born in Maestag in Wales. All three had been deeply moved by the spiritual revival that was taking place in the early years of the 20th century and as a result they gave themselves to open-air witnessing on the streets of the Welsh villages, and God blessed them.
It was clear to all their friends that God had a great future for these men. Opportunities grew as signs and wonders followed their ministry. It was George, however, who became impressed with the need of not only evangelising the people, but also consolidating them in follow-up, by providing them with places where they could regularly gather and form themselves into churches. This distinguished him from his brothers who still chose to carry on evangelising while leaving the consolidating to others.
In 1914 – the year of the outbreak of the First World War – a Christian Convention was held in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The organisers agreed to invite young George Jeffreys to attend. He was then 24 years of age. At this convention were two leading men from Monaghan, named Alan Kerr and George Allen. Having heard of God’s blessing on the ministry of young George Jeffreys, and now having met him, they decided to invite him to their town to conduct a crusade. This was arranged for the next year – June 1915.
They met in Knox’s Hotel, Monaghan, on 7th January 1915, where they discussed their plans, and made provision for the purchase of a marquee in which to hold their meetings. It was from this meeting that the Elim Four Square Gospel Alliance was birthed.
In December 1920 George Jeffreys wrote in the Elim Evangel, “I regard the county town of Monaghan as being the birth-place of this work”. From this small beginning in Ireland the Elim Movement has continued to grow and spread to many many countries across the world on all five continents. The Elim Pentecostal Church is a member of the Worldwide Pentecostal Movement with a membership of over 500 million Christians from every part of the world
Our Alliance
The Alliance of Churches within Elim Ministries each have their own leadership based on the pattern laid down in the Bible. The appointment of those in leadership is made by local churches.
Our Membership
Membership of any of our Churches is held at the will and discretion of the local Church leadership. This does not depend on any particular ritual, knowledge or creed but on a personal experience of salvation.
